LG Phones Review: LG V20
Featuring sizzling-hot specs and great shooters, the LG V20 has become one of the best smartphones of this year. But has it managed to wow the tech enthusiasts? Find the answer in this review.
The LG V20 comes with a rare combination of elegance and toughness. It fits well in arguably any kind of dress. Being constructed with the 6013 series aluminum alloy, it can withstand more physical damage than any smartphone on the market.
The V20 retains the secondary display on top of the primary one. Its purpose is also same, which is showing different notifications and providing an easy access to apps via shortcuts. However, the stellar one is the primary 5.5-inch AMOLED display. According to different LG phones review, it is one of the sharpest smartphone screens of all time.
The standard 16-MP camera has been complemented with an 8-MP camera having an extremely wide-angle lens. As a result, the shooter is enabled to capture more details than ever before. The color looks extremely natural. The white balance is perfect. Its 5-MP secondary camera also features the wide angle lens, which makes it quite handy for taking group selfies, as it enables you to let in plenty of things in the frame.
The performance of the LG V20 is outstanding. It runs all the latest high-end games flawlessly. We expect it to run the games of the next 3 years without any issue. In the Geekbench 3 (single-core) test, it scores 2303 points. As a result, it manages to outperform the Galaxy S7 (1969 points).
With a moderate use, the 3200 mAh can make a day comfortably. But with a heavy usage, it drains out by early evening, which leaves us with an expectation of a much better performance.
The LG V20 has definitely been able to amaze the tech enthusiasts. Apart from the battery performance, it is an outstanding smartphone. So, if you have a good budget, it is the best phone that you can find right now.
LG Phones Review: LG X Screen
The reasonable priced LG X Screen has just entered into the market. But has it been really able to justify the price? Read this review to get the answer.
The LG X Screen comes with the all-glass back, which makes the device look really gorgeous. In combination with the glass surfaces and rounded edges, it is pleasant to hold. And its build quality is outstanding.
Being a compact device, the LG X Screen comes with the 4.93-inch IPS display. It supports 720p resolution. Yes, the 1080p resolution would have been much better. But according to different LG phones review, everything looks super crisp at the existing resolution. The pictures and videos look razor sharp. However, sometimes, the colors seem to be washed out. Like the LG V20, the device also has a secondary screen above the main one, which makes it really unique in the mid-range market.
The 13-MP primary camera shows a decent performance capturing photos with a fairly balanced color and decent detail. However, like the other cheap smartphone shooters, it struggles with the dynamic range. Moreover, according to the different LG phones reviews, it doesn’t support HDR mode, which results in an unnaturally radiant effect on a sunny day. And its 8-MP secondary camera fails to impress us. It should have been able to capture much sharper selfies.
The LG X Screen shows a great performance. It runs fast paced games, like Sonic Dash 2 and Horizon Chase, very smoothly. In the Geekbench 3 test, it scores 1406 points, which is higher than 1330 points scored by the Wileyfox Swift.
The 2300 mAh battery can last around 1 and half a day comfortably with a heavy to moderate usage. It is not a bad performance from a budget friendly phone battery.
LG X Screen is a great device to have. It looks great and performs really well. Its display is also reasonably sharp. From these point of views, it justifies its price tag. However, if you heavily focus on the smartphone camera, you should look elsewhere.
